Earth Day Weekend

110 South Front Street - City of Hudson

A group of intrepid bikers will ride the Empire State Trail leaving from the tip of Manhattan on April 16th and arriving in Albany on April 22nd.

At several events along the trail, community greeters will gather to show that New Yorkers everywhere are unified in our call to the New York Legislature and Governor for climate action now!

Come to Basilica Hudson in the City of Hudson at 11:00 on Thursday morning, April 21st, to greet the bikers, learn about the climate bills, listen to some music and have some food.

12:00 - Rally, West Capitol Park (west side of Capitol Building)

The New York State Legislature and the Governor have failed to fund the landmark 2019 Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (CLCPA).  They have provided only a small percentage of the billions in funding necessary each year to transition from an economy based on fossil fuel to regenerative clean energy, and to uplift vulnerable communities and create quality green energy jobs.

New Yorkers from all over the state will gather in Albany on Earth Day in support of a package of 11 bills and one proposal to further climate justice in New York.

Rally on the City Hall steps followed by a march around downtown to celebrate the amazing work Schenectady has done in environmental activism and urge the city government to keep progressing as an example of a Green City.
